Tartu Startup Day moves to August 2027

The organisers of the Tartu Startup Day conference said they have moved the event from planned end-January dates to August 17-19, citing a scheduling clash with the Ukraine Recovery Conference (URC).

"It became clear that delivering Startup Day at the scale, quality and format our community deserves would put significant pressure on the same technical, logistical and local service resources," the organisers said.

"By stepping aside in January, we can give URC the resources and focus it needs, while giving Startup Day the space to be what it should be," they said.

URC 2027, co-hosted by the Government of Estonia and the Government of Ukraine, is in Tallinn on Jan 28-29.

Startup Day, which on and off has marketed itself as sTARTUp Day, is the second large startup event in Estonia alongside Latitude59.

The town is known for its colourful university student life, green parks, and shady cobblestone streets. Following the Emajõgi River, one can cross its bridges and get lost, whether it’s into the Botanical Gardens or down to the Lodjakoda shipbuilding hall. For centuries, academics have roamed these streets.
