# CostPocket has been bought by Swedish fintech Mynt

Estonian expense management platform [CostPocket](https://costpocket.com/en?ref=fomo.observer) has been acquired by Swedish peer [Mynt](https://www.mynt.com/en?ref=fomo.observer). The deal financials have not been disclosed. 

In what might be considered a perfect match in payments, the two firms had already been engaged for some time, with an existing technology partnership through which CostPocket launched its own business card powered by Mynt. 

What attracted Mynt to CostPocket, aside from its AI-driven expense management solution, was its strong localisation and its decent foothold across the Baltics and Finland. 

CostPocket was founded in 2016 by [Martin Sookael](https://www.linkedin.com/in/martinsookael/?ref=fomo.observer), [Joonas Sernjuk](https://www.linkedin.com/in/joonas-sernjuk-20556612a/?ref=fomo.observer) and [Eduard Kotov](https://www.linkedin.com/in/eduard-kotov-0b4a0870/?ref=fomo.observer) and apparently, despite the change in ownership, there will be no changes for its customers, employees or partners. It will continue to operate as a stand-alone company.

“Becoming part of Mynt gives us access to Mynt's proven and scaled payment infrastructure, while allowing CostPocket to remain CostPocket. We will continue operating as a separate company with the same product, brand, and team, focused on the customers and partners in our existing markets," Toni Kivinen, CEO of CostPocket, said in a statement.

"For our founders and early investors, this is also a proud milestone: proof that a product built in the Baltics can earn its place in the Nordic fintech landscape,” he adds. 

The CostPocket platform connects with more than 40 accounting and ERP systems and supports businesses, accountants and software partners across the region. 

In 2025, CostPocket group revenues grew 41% to 1.28 million euros, and its operating profit (EBITDA) was 132,800 euros, according to the firm's annual report. By year-end, 16.3 thousand companies used its software, up 24% over the year.
